Piper is our much-loved Stabyhoun (pronounced Sta-BYE-hoon); a breed that originates from the Netherlands and is largely unknown elsewhere around the world.

Originally bred for mole catching and known as a good all-round gun dog, in the old days Stabys were popular with poor farmers who could only afford one dog!

Piper is true to her breed – loving, playful, intelligent, good with children and other dogs.  However, Stabys are also meant to love water but Piper absolutely does not!  She’ll walk around puddles to avoid getting her paws wet!

Piper makes me smile every day, so what better name to call my business than Pipers!
